Parliamentarians worldwide are being urged to support a new manifesto, which has been launched to highlight the measures that can be taken to improve road safety across the globe.

Working in partnership with the Road Safety GB Academy, Hackney Council is to host a training course for road safety professionals in July 2017.

More than 2,000 obstructions have been removed from the Capital’s pavements as part of an initiative designed to ensure that pavements are kept free from ‘clutter’ that could cause injury to pedestrians.

Road safety teams and stakeholders across the Capital are preparing for UN Global Road Safety Week 2017, which gets underway on Monday.

Presentations from last week’s Hackney Cycling Conference, which attracted more than 200 delegates, are now available to download via the Hackney Council website.
