Scooter training - We offer Practical Scooter Training for Year 2 pupils and schools are able to book this via the safety education team. The training bridges the gap from the early years road safety talks and Childrens Traffic Club, before they receive Pedestrian Training in Year 3.
Secondary School Media Projects - Flexible Media Projects are on offer to Secondary School pupils and suit GCSE Media or Drama students in particular. These sessions have been run with Y7 all the way up to Y10 pupils and can last a couple of weeks or a whole half term depending on the school and time available.
Students are required to research road safety issues, plan, pitch, storyboard, film and edit their movies which can have either a road safety or active travel theme.
Junior Citizen Scheme - working in partnership with Transport for London, The London Fire Brigade, The Port of London Water Authority, The London Ambulance Service, The Royal Parks and the Metropolitan Police, we hold four weeks of Junior Citizenship for year 6 pupils across the Borough.
Working in teams, children visit 10 scenarios and learn how to look after themselves and others around them in situations that include a road collision, finding the best route to secondary school, personal safety, what to do in case of a fire, how to enjoy the Thames safely, as well as some also 'do’s and don’ts' on public transport.
Driver/rider training
We provide training for minibus drivers, motorcyclists and young drivers.
