'Mini Holland'
Waltham Forest has been successful in its bid to TfL for £30m to fund a Mini Holland cycling programme to radically improve the borough’s cycling infrastructure and support a step change in the numbers of local people choosing to cycle.

‘Dr Bike’
Free ‘Dr Bike’ sessions are held throughout the year. Look out for news on posters and leaflets and on the 'What’s On' section of our website. 'Dr Bike' is provided by our cycle training provider, Cycle Confident

Road safety resources
We will soon be publishing a list of links and downloadable resources for schools, parents and road users for all aspects of road safety education, including:

  • Key Stage 1 and 2 classroom resources
    • Safer journey tips for drivers, motorcyclists and pedestrians
    • Child car seat selection and fitting
    • Advice for new drivers and their parents

In the interim, if you are seeking advice on a particular subject please email roadsafety@walthamforest.gov.uk or telephone 020 8496 3000.

Road traffic schemes and consultations
Traffic and highway improvement schemes are usually designed and installed as the result of an evident problem, in response to requests from residents or as part of a national policy (for example, the introduction of 20mph zones).

For information about Road Safety in the borough, please take a look at our website or for further details regarding the Mini Holland scheme please take a look at the Enjoy Waltham Forest website.
