Our School Travel Advisor team oversees a programme of activities to raise awareness of road safety issues. This ranges from promotion of Transport for London (TfL) and other road safety campaigns to bespoke projects working with individual schools, liaising with colleagues in parking and the Metropolitan Police’s Safer Transport Team.

Programmes that our schools have previously or currently are engaged in include:

Safe Drive Stay Alive
Aimed at potential and new drivers and their peers in the autumn term. Sixth form students participate in a hard hitting and impactful production communicating the reasons why young people (aged 17-24), whether driver or passenger, become casualties in road traffic accidents.

Go Your Own Way
Aimed at high school students, this is a highly engaging song and dance show that communicates road safety and sustainable travel messages.  The show teaches through combining games, quizzes, entertainment and music.

Cycle Training
All year 6 pupils are invited to take part in Bikeability courses at their school. We also offer further training to high school students.

Click here for more information on subsidised cycle training for everyone over the age of six who lives, works or studies in Ealing

Pedestrian Skills Training
Pedestrian skills training is offered to Year 3 pupils and includes walking around the locality of the school to learn and reinforce key pedestrian skills.
