More boroughs partner with 2WL

2WL new partners

Three more London boroughs have signed up to 2Wheels London, reinforcing their commitment to improving the safety of powered two wheeler riders (PTW) in their local area.

2Wheels London works in close partnership with London boroughs and local businesses to provide PTW riders with important safety information and advice.

The London boroughs of Lambeth, Tower Hamlets and Camden are the latest to become 2Wheels London partners – bringing the total to 14.

The 2Wheels London campaign also has excellent support from corporates and other organisations across the Capital. ‘London-wide’ supporters include Royal Mail, Deliveroo and Ocado, and in addition a further 62 organisations based in specific boroughs have pledged their support.

Statistics show that PTW riders are among the most vulnerable road users. However, there are a number of practical common-sense steps that riders can take to reduce risk.

These include:

  • Wearing the right gear to give protection in the event of a crash
  • Making sure you understand the rules of the road
  • Ensuring your bike is properly maintained
  • Receiving the right training to learn how to ride safely
