Free-to-attend event will explore benefits of cycling investment

London-CyclingA free-to-attend one-day event in Camden will explore the benefits of cycling investment for inner city travel, health, and inclusivity.

‘Cycling towards a healthier, smarter, more inclusive Camden’ will take place at Camden Town Hall on 18 April.

The event is being organised by Camden Council in partnership with London Cycling Campaign, the Dutch Embassy and Royal Haskoning DHV. It will feature a mixture of presentations, workshops and a panel debate.

With a strong focus on the borough of Camden, the morning speakers will evaluate cycle growth in an urban environment. Areas covered will include the Central London Grid, interconnected rail travel and quantifying the health benefits of cycling.

The panel debate will include representative from TfL, the University of Westminster, Wheels for Wellbeing and Camden Council.

In the afternoon, delegates will be able to attend one of three workshops looking at ‘Inclusive Cycling in Somers Town’, ‘Inner London Mini-Holland’ and the ‘Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safety (CLOCS)’ scheme.
