Ealing to host summer celebration of cycling

LRSC Ealing summer cycling

Two festivals are taking place in Ealing next month as part of the borough’s ‘Summer of Cycling’.

The free festivals are packed with activities including a pedal-powered cinema, BMX and balance bikes and a giant inflatable obstacle course – as well as live entertainment.

There will also be ‘fun, family-friendly’ led rides, departing every hour on the hour to explore Ealing’s landscapes and green spaces.

All abilities are welcome on the rides with no requirement to register – although riders are encouraged to turn up at least 20 minutes before for a quick safety check.

The festivals, which run from 10am-3pm, take place at:

  • Northala Fields (7 July)
  • Pitshanger Park (14 July)

Summer of Cycling school competition
As part of its Summer of Cycling, Ealing Council is giving one primary and one secondary school registered on the TfL STARS accreditation scheme the chance to win a BMX Flatlander Stunt show.

The primary and secondary schools with the greatest attendance across both festival days will win. To enter, simply attend one of the festivals and register attendance at the signposted desk.

Visit the Ealing Council website for details of all the borough’s summer bike rides and cycling events.
